James VanDerLinde Pt. 2
Show Notes

As promised on Tuesday this is part 2 of our conversation. James and I are from the same small town and grew up together. He lived with us for a little bit before he left for the Army. He spent 10 years in the Army until he was recently medically separated and retired. He talks about going through an identity crisis, and how he’s able to cope with being a civilian again. We all have struggles, maybe not the same, but pretty similar. It all comes down to the brotherhood and we need understand and accept that we didn’t lose the brotherhood. That brotherhood is still there and will always be there. However instead of waking up and walking outside your barracks room and seeing everyone, now you have to work for it and you have to reach out. I promise you if you pick up your phone and call your buddy they’re  going to answer and you guys are going to talk just like you did in the “good ol days.”  Improvise, adapt, and over come. Pick up the phone and call your buddy. You’ll be surprised when you realize they needed that call just as much as you do.
